Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga is a slow, meditative practice that combines the concept of meridians in Chinese medicine and the philosophy of Taoism. In strong contrast to our fast-paced and "Yang" society, we will build in these classes a space of listening and deep connection with our body and breath. The postures are designed to support the body, calm the nervous system and comfortably immerse ourselves in our inner landscape. Because of its highly inclusive qualities, this class is open to everyone; each pose will be tailored to the personal needs of the practitioner.
Yin&Yang Yoga
This practice bring together the benefits of passively holding yoga poses with more dynamic sequences and standing postures. Yin and Yang are the Taoist concepts which describe the two relative qualities present in everything. Regardless of which practice you are more drawn to, it is in the nature of all to encourage the movement of prana (energy) throughout our entire being as it opens the body to aid in the removal of physical and emotional blockages. Yin cannot exist without Yang as Yang cannot exist without Yin. Like all things in life, we need to find and create balance. Yoga is where yin meets yang and together they create harmony. This is a versatile yoga lesson than can accommodate various levels of skill.
